The Expo Line Goes to the Sea!
Hundreds Crammed into First Train for May 20 Ride
After six decades, you can once again ride the rails between Downtown Los Angeles and Downtown Santa Monica following much of the route of the old Red Cars.
The crowds on the platforms at Culver City Station and the following six stations were nothing compared to the huge, boisterous group waiting at the Santa Monica Downtown Station. Fortunately, the weather was sunny, with a cool sea breeze helping to keep the wait comfortable.
Come along and ride with the Metro Duo on the first Expo Line train to the sea! Continue reading

Neon Cruise Highlights LA’s Glitter, Glam, and History
Did you know that the first neon sign in the USA was in LA?
If you’re looking for a Los Angeles bus tour that covers our city’s glamorous history, but isn’t one of those ubiquitous “tours of the stars’ homes,” then the Museum of Neon Art’s Classic Neon Cruise is for you.

Expo Line Opens Saturday, April 28, 2012!
Discover LA by Metro:
We Took a Preview Tour of the Expo Line
The wait is almost over – Expo Line Phase I is opening!
For this Metro Duo, the Expo Line opening is personal. As long as we’ve known each other, we’ve been waiting for this Metro line to bring us together – and Saturday, April 28, it opens!
Opening weekend (Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29) the Expo Line will be FREE.
On Saturday, Metro has organized free entertainment, including live music, on-stage karaoke, performances by local dance groups, and tasty treats will be available for purchase from food trucks and local eateries. These activities will be at the stations at 7th Street/Metro Center, ExpoPark/USC, Expo/Crenshaw, and La Cienega/Jefferson.
Check out our friend, jazz singer Devon Deming, who will be belting out the tunes from 2 -2:45 p.m. at the La Cienega/Jefferson station.
