Family Fun, Date Night, Noon Break — Time for Festive Mood at Pershing Square off Red/Purple Lines
If you’re like everyone else during holiday season, you need a break from too much eating, shopping, and general stress. When the kids start getting restless or you just can’t stand one more crowded mall, hop on the Metro for a once-a-year winter wonderland break at Downtown On Ice.
Many free festive events and holiday-themed concerts are offered in addition to the skating, through January 16, 2012.
Downtown On Ice is at Pershing Square, a stop on the Metro Red/Purple Lines. So hop on the Metro and celebrate! Continue reading

Mariachi Music, Food, Community Spirit to Brighten Fall
The promise of trumpets, guitars, brightly colored dancing costumes, glittering charro outfits, and, of course, good food is drawing us to the 21st Annual Mariachi Festival and Community Fair this Sunday, November 20, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
While the skies are predicted to be gray, the mood will be far from sullen in Mariachi Plaza.
The Mariachi Festival couldn’t be more conveniently located for Metro adventurers – it’s right at the Metro Gold Line Mariachi Plaza station in Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles. So hop on the Metro and party! Continue reading
