Highland Park Market Offers Friendly Atmosphere

Discover LA by Metro:
Highland Park’s Old LA Market (Tuesdays, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.):
A Friendly Market in a Colorful Neighborhood

Small, but charming describes Highland Park’s Old LA Farmer’s Market, which runs along Avenue 58 near the Highland Park Gold Line station to Figueroa Street.

We agree with many of the reviewers on Yelp that this market is quaint, and its small size keeps it from feeling too commercial or overwhelming.

See you there!

East Los Angeles Civic Center Farmers’ Market
Saturdays, 9 am – 2 pm

We found three major highlights at this Farmers’ Market — the East LA Library building (be sure to check out the mosaics inside), the lovely lake and park adjacent the complex, and a fascinating artisan weaver — in addition to the fresh goodies.

Immediately across from the Metro station platform, the Civic Center complex presents an attractive facade, with art, sculpture, and mosaics at every turn. The branch library, with its geometric design and stunning mosaic mural, is a real community treasure.
