Take a Sunday Stroll Through LA with CicLAvia and Join the Figueroa Street Parade

On Sunday, October 7, 2012, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., more than 10 miles of LA streets will be taken over by thousands of people on bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, strollers, tricycles, wheelchairs, and running and walking shoes.

Even a parade is planned for Figueroa Street, starting around noon at 8th Street.

New destination have been added for this fall’s event, including Grand Park, Chinatown, Mariachi Plaza, and more.

The route is accessible by Metro Rail. So hop on a train and join us.!

Did you know that the first neon sign in the USA was in LA?

If you’re looking for a Los Angeles bus tour that covers our city’s glamorous history, but isn’t one of those ubiquitous “tours of the stars’ homes,” then the Museum of Neon Art’s Classic Neon Cruise is for you.

The Classic Neon Cruises continue through the end of September, with a special Glendale cruise in October and holiday cruises in December and February.

Meet Me @ Metro III Rocks Gold Line – Aug. 25-26, Sept. 1-2

Meet Me @ Metro III a Gold Line Treasure Worth Discovering



You still can be be part of one of the hottest Metro experiences in LA — the unique artistic collaboration Meet Me @ Metro III, a flash-mob event combined with original drama written specifically for community sites. Final performances run Saturday and Sunday, September 1-2. The shows start at 11 a.m. and 12 noon both days. Admission, which includes an all-day Metro pass, is $20; pay what you can for the noon performance on Saturday, September 1.
